Google’s web spam team, Matt Cutts have shared the news at the Pubcon conference that content position on a page is going to be a ranking factor in SERPS, as having a lot of ads in annoying spots can hurt the page. I always thought more than 3 ad units on a page makes user distracting or annoying to see the actual content.
Google may penalizing ad-heavy page in its search results.
